• Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special occasion or event, such as a wedding or a vacation, due to the risk of bruising and swelling post-treatment.
• Arnica tablets can be taken one week prior to your treatment if you wish to help prevent and minimise bruising post-treatment.
• Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications 5-7 days prior to treatment. (Unless medically directed to take these by your GP or specialist). Medications such as Aspirin, Vitamin E, Omega 3/Fish Oil Supplements, Ibuprofen, Advil, and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising, bleeding and swelling after injections.
• Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you are feeling unwell or have an active infection.
• Avoid vigorous physical activity or any large intakes of alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment, as this increases the risk of bruising.

• Massage the treated area to evenly distribute Sculptra. A good rule of thumb is5-5-5: Massage the injected area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days in a row.

• Arrive at your appointment make-up free. Avoid heavy exercise, drinking alcohol and smoking on the day of your appointment. Reschedule if you are feeling unwell.
• Ensure you have something to eat and drink prior to your appointment to decrease the chances of light-headedness and dizziness from occurring during your treatment.

You are not a candidate if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have open sores in the treatment area. You also may not be suitable for bio remodelling treatment if you have an active infection, are taking a course of antibiotics, are flying overseas within the next 2 weeks, or have an uncontrolled medical condition including, but not limited to, diabetes and blood clotting disorders.

Some people may experience some dizziness or nausea. Luckily these side effects are not long lasting and should disappear shortly after treatment. If you experience any of the following symptoms, contact our office immediately: dusky or white discolouration of injected areas, mottling or unusual bruising, severe or increasing pain, redness, increasing warmth or coolness to touch, severe swelling, severe bruising, itching, blisters or pustules, loss of feeling or numbness, abnormal sensation in the affected area, difficulty swallowing or smiling, fever, or chills.
