PDO Mono thread
Introducing PDO Mono Threads, these fine and thin threads are designed to rejuvenate the skin by tightening and reconditioning. With a focus on improving fine lines, wrinkles, and skin texture, these threads stimulate collagen production. Unlike threads with barbs or cogs, Mono threads, made of PDO, are gentle on the skin, offering a safe and effective way to enhance your skin's appearance. The threads come in single or multiple twists, allowing tailored treatment for specific areas based on the desired level of collagen stimulation.

Multiple sessions (2-3) may be required to reach your aesthetic goal. For a fit and healthy patient that is sun compliant and leads a balanced lifestyle, results can last up to 12 months. PDO Mono threads work by inserting multiple Polydioxanone (PDO) mono threads to create a vectorial network, which serves as a supportive structure for the skin tissue. This insertion process leads to an immediate visible tightening effect on the skin while also stimulating the natural production of collagen. Consequently, skin rejuvenation occurs, enhancing vitality, elasticity, and promoting a brighter skin tone. Additionally, it helps improve the appearance of minor wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and saggy skin, making it effective for both facial and body treatments.
Over time, the embedded threads gradually reabsorb through biological absorption or hydrolysis, typically occurring over a period of 3 to 4 months. The mono threads actively promote and increase collagen production around them. While the effects are immediately noticeable, the maximum tension is typically reached between 2 to 3 months after insertion.
The overall result is long-lasting rejuvenation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, effectively delaying the natural aging process by approximately 9 to 12 months.
No, PDO filament threads used in mono threading are distinct from the traditional barbed threads used in thread lifts. The primary goal of mono threading is not to lift tissue but to promote skin tightening, enhancing firmness and fullness while addressing fine lines, sagging, and ageing skin. This minimally invasive procedure is focused on smoothing, supporting, and rejuvenating targeted areas for improved skin conditions.
